CEAR Pro
Jamaica-first home-services marketplace: verified pros, escrow-held payments released on confirmed completion, and an AI cost estimator on Gemini, with three further AI tools specified on the roadmap.
Challenge
Home services in Jamaica mostly run on word of mouth and cash up front, which protects nobody. CEAR Pro is a marketplace where homeowners book verified pros and the money sits in escrow until the client confirms the work is done.
Approach
The first AI tool is live: a cost estimator on Gemini that turns a job description and up to three photos into a ranged, line-item estimate the client can convert straight into a booking. Three more are specified and planned: a renovation visualiser on Gemini image models, an advertising recommender and a tender evaluator. Underneath sit escrow payments, a government-ID verification queue for pros, and realtime messaging.
Outcome
The spec was signed off on 9 July and the ground-up v2 rebuild, marketing, auth, marketplace, bookings, escrow, admin and the AI estimator, was built and verified by 18 July: 240 commits in about ten days. The platform is staged in open beta ahead of its public launch.

Stage & handover
